DomaCom reaches crowdfunded property deal

DomaCom has signed an agreement with a property developer to help launch a residential community land project in regional Victoria. The deal with Akuna Lifestyle Estates will involve a $6 million capital raising comprising $1.65 million to acquire the land and $4.35 million for development planning, approvals and construction of the civil works, and common facilities including a clubhouse, sports centre, pool and bowling green, according to a statement. The Cobram-based project is planned to be developed and sold in eight stages over three to four years, starting this year. DomaCom has finalised its first venture into agricultural assets with a deal that gives 90 retail investors a stake in a property in Victoria’s prime Western District pastoral land. The 150-hectare property, ‘Doyles’, outside Casterton near the South Australian border, is in the heart of prime beef and sheep region. Australian crowdfunder, DomaCom has signed an exclusive distribution deal with a New York-based real estate crowdfunding platform, Prodigy Network. The deal aimed to expand investment opportunities for Australian investors wanting to invest in US real estate assets. A recent squeeze on investment loans for new customers by banks have led listed crowdfunder DomaCom to offer investors the opportunity to invest in residential mortgages after clearing a regulatory hurdle. The news broke this week that the fractional property investment firm was given ASIC approval to extend its crowdfunding model to securities, which means it can now offer fractional investment in corporate bonds as well as peer-to-peer mortgage bond sub-funds. DomaCom partners with peer-to-peer lender

DomaCom has announced it will partner with a peer-to-peer lending company to extend opportunities for advisers in the property sector. DomaCom, the company that shot to prominence with a crowdfunding campaign to acquire the property assets of the iconic Kidman Station empire, is looking to float as a near $100 million company on the Australian Securities Exchange. DomaCom lauds Morrison’s Kidman decision

Crowd funder DomaCom has welcomed the announcement by the Treasurer, Scott Morrison, that the sale of the giant Kidman Station to a Chinese consortium is “not in the national interest”. DomaCom CEO Arthur Naoumidis said it was “very pleasing” that the Government had heeded the outpouring of public sentiment on the proposed $370 million sale and had reached a “preliminary finding” to reject the bid by Dakang Australia Holdings. DomaCom to crowdfund gay retirement village

Property investor DomaCom is using its crowdfunding platform to raise capital to fund a $25 million gay and lesbian retirement village, proposed near Ballan in central Victoria.
